The Ring of the Guiding Light is a heavenly ring granted to the Mage El'winar after he meditated for 40 days and 40 nights without food, water, or rest.
When he opened his eyes, he was hit with an idea to build a temple in Rhun. When he decided to build the temple, as if by divine interference, this ring fell from the heavens and struck him on the head, he awoke from being knocked out, to find this immensely powerful ring.
He built his Temple, lived a good life, and died. However his temple remained, and became the Ruins now infamous for undead, that is Elwinar Ruins.
